Download PDFThe RCR110.2ZB bi-wire relay unit is a member of the new Connected Home family of home heating automation from Siemens. It is designed for switching a heating boiler or a circulating pump. In the heating system, it thus ensures sufficient hot water for heating. The unit has two base voltage relay contacts.
The unit communicates wirelessly, but is powered via a 230 VAC cable. After installation, it connects to the Connected Home system thanks to ZigBee 3.0 wireless communication. It cooperates with the ZigBee GTW100ZB router in the system and, in addition to switching the boiler or pump, it also serves as a signal repeater to strengthen the ZigBee network. The system is set up in the application on the mobile device. However, the relay unit also has a manual closing of the contact relay. The unit can also be reset to factory settings at any time.
The unit can be used in family and residential buildings. It is suitable for gas boilers, heat pumps, zone valves, pumps, heat exchangers, flow heaters and small hot water heating systems.
The relay unit is designed in two parts. The electronic base plate is housed in a plastic housing with IP 30 protection.
Connected Home works on Zigbee 3.0 wireless communication. (2.4 GHz, bidirectional). It connects the relay unit to the router and the thermostatic drive. Data transfer between is very fast.
